Research Summary
My research focus on the effect of nanoparticle spacing and dispersion on the conductivity and mobility of solid polymer electrolytes. Ionic conductivity at room temperature is insufficient for practical application , to increase the conductivity of PEO, nanoparticles are been added to polymer electrolyte. To study the nanoparticle spacing and dispersion on polymer conductivity, I need to control nanoparticle aggregation which is very challenging. Quasielastic Neutron Scattering will be used to measure dynamics and mobility, and Small Angle Neutron Scattering for structure information, Broadband dielectric spectrometry for sample conductivity.
