Anirudh Nambiar awarded first place paper at AIChE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference

Anirudh Nambiar, a Penn State junior and chemical engineering student, was recently awarded the first place paper award at the AIChE Mid-Atlantic Student Regional Conference at the University of Delaware April 8-9, 2016.

Nambiar was awarded for his presentation "Synthesis of Cyclic Organic Carbonates via Catalytic Oxidative Carboxylation of Olefins in Flow Reactors." His work was selected by a panel of chemical engineering faculty members, industry representatives and AIChE local section members. In addition to the recognition, he was also awarded $200.

Nambiar is a member of the Rioux research group.
