Stipend: $4500 for 10 weeks
Housing: up to $1600 (we will be happy to make arrangements for on-campus housing)
Travel: up to $350 (for out of state students only)

In addition to their research efforts, students will participate in a range of seminars and technical programs that will provide an overview of Chemical Energy Storage and Conversion, discuss general research principles, key aspects of preparing research presentations, and the graduate school experience. Students will also participate in tours of the Penn State Co-Generation Facility, the Electrochemical Engine Center, the PSU Nuclear Reactor, and Penn State’s Transportation Institute.

A variety of social programs will be provided throughout the summer, including informal pizza lunches, hikes through the local mountains, evening barbecues, music/theater events, and trips to a nearby amusement park. Students will also be able to take advantage of the outstanding research, athletic, and arts facilities at Penn State, the beautiful country-side in the State College area, and the extraordinary Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts.
