Chemical Engineering professor publishes thermodynamics textbook

Congratulations to Professor Themis Matsoukas for his textbook "Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics". This textbook was published as part of the Prentice Hall International Series in the Physical and Chemical Engineering Sciences.

Dr. Matsoukas' book is now the standard textbook for chemical engineering (ChE) 320, Phase and Chemical Equilibria at Penn State.

Professor Themis Matsoukas Receives Schreyer's Excellence Award

It is our pleasure to annouce that Professor Themis Matsoukas was selected to receive the 2009 Excellence in Honors Advising Award from The Schreyer Honors College.

This award is given to only a single faculty member at Penn State each year based on nominations / input from current Schreyer students. This award is a great recognition of Themis' outstanding commitment to our Honors students.

Four University faculty members receive
the 2009 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching

It is our pleasure to announce that Professor Themis Matsoukas was among four University faculty members to receive the 2009 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching. The award, named after Penn State's seventh president, honors excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
