Graduate student Gholamreza Rostamikia
I grew up in Tehran, the capital of Iran. I entered the chemical engineering undergraduate program in Tehran Polytechnic (Amirkabir University of Technology) and I graduated in the top 1% of my class. I got my Masters degree in chemical engineering from Tehran Polytechnic and worked for a few years in the oil and gas industry. I started my PhD at Penn State in fall 2006 and joined the Janik lab in spring 2007. I enjoy fishing, playing ping pong and hiking. I am also a soccer fan.
