Chemical Engineering Research Symposium

The Chemical Engineering Research Symposium is an annual event organized by the Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association in which graduate students showcase their research to the department and industry representatives. The Symposium is open to the Penn State community. 

The event includes:

  • Fourth and fifth year students will present 15-minute research talks.
  • Second and third year students will give poster presentations of their work.
  • Dr. Monty Alger, director of the Institute for Natural Gas Research, will present the keynote talk. 
  • Opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to learn and engage in a discussion about the unique directions in which the research in Chemical Engineering at Penn State is heading. 

Cash prizes will be awarded at the poster session. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place posters are $300, $150, and $50, respectively.
