Chemical Engineering Department Honors Callender with Early Career Award

Lisa Callender (B.S. '03) has been named the recipient of the 2013 Early Career Alumni Recognition Award in Chemical Engineering. 

Callender is employed by the Dow Chemical Company. 

She received her  B.S. degree from Penn State  in 2003 and has spent the past 10 years as a Process Engineer, working both at a Dow facility in Kuwait and at DowWolff Cellulosics. Callender is currently an Operations Leader of the Dow Midland Herbicide Formulation and Packaging Facility, one of the largest herbicide facilities in the world.

The Early Career Alumni Recognition Award is designed to honor an outstanding Penn State chemical engineering alumnus who has graduated within the past 10 years and who, at the outset of his or her career, serves as an exemplary role model for current chemical engineering students.
