  • Discovering the genetic basis of biofilm formation with E. coli and P. aeruginosa
  • Discerning the role of toxin/antioxin systems and cryptic prophages
  • Evolving biofilm regulators to control biofilm formation of biorefineries
  • Evolving bidirectional hydrogenases for hydrogen production
  • Understanding interkingdom cell communication
